Townese is built to help neighbors connect — not to monetize personal information. We collect only the information reasonably necessary to verify residency, operate the platform, and help neighbors discover local events.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of Townese, operated by Townese LLC, a Washington state limited liability company. By using Townese, you agree to the practices described here.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database platform with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Profile photos are stored in Supabase Storage.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
Townese uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, and the basic operation of the platform — for example, to keep you signed in. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days, except where we are required to retain information by law or for legitimate business purposes. Deleted information may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being automatically removed.
